Ben Urich:
‘You get what you deserve.’It’s an old saying. One that survived the years, because it’s true. For the most part. But not for everyone. Some get more than they deserve.
Because they believe they aren’t like everyone else. That the rules, the ones people like me and you, the people that work and struggle to live our lives, just live, don’t apply to them. That they can do anything and live happily ever after, while the rest of us suffer.
They do this from the shadows. Shadows that we cast. With our indifference. With a pervasive lack of interest in anything that doesn’t directly affect us, we, in the here and now.
Or maybe it’s just the shadow of weariness. Of how tired we are, struggling to claw our way back to a middle class that no longer exist, because of those who take more than they deserve. And they keep taking, until all that’s left for the rest of us is a memory of how it used to be before the corporations and the bottom line decided we didn’t matter anymore.
But we do. You and I,…. we still matter.
There’s some… that [do not] share this belief.
You’ve never [their] name. You’ve never seen [their] face.
[They’ve] stayed in the shadows.
[They] must no longer be allowed to operate in the darkness.
If [they] ha[ve] nothing to hide, let [them] step forward.….
Wilson Fisk:
I tried to do this quietly, not wanting to draw attention. The last thing I wanted was for anyone close to me to become a target from those who do not share my dream.

But I know now it was foolish to make that decision.
I can no longer do it alone.
None of us can. None of us should be forced to.
We must do this together.
My name…. is [Sanjay Connare]
And together…..we can make this… a better place.

Comments: Besides being a very powerful episode, and juxtoposing good vs. evil, the copy that Ben Ulrich was writing describes the state of how once you start struggling, you almost can never make it back, and you definitely can’t do it alone. The system is designed against those that fall to the bottom so that those at the top stay at the top. While I am generally a socialite, when it comes to issues of life and decisions, this second ordeal now going on almost 6 years, show just exactly how this is the case. Yes I am the owner of a business and participate in capitalism. That what running a business in the United States means. However until the introduction of B-Corporations there was no formal way to designate except through not for profits and foundations. When I had my first surgery in 2011 and that wave of hospital visits, it was noting compared to this. The medical cost alone just this year is over $20,000. so do I choose to help my body long term with drugs and western medicine, or eat (literally)? Factor in 6 hospitalizations from 2022 and this number skyrockets to over $250,000.00 at the expense of insurance. Long term if they just did what the doctors requested I’d be in a much different state. Instead I’m still waiting on diagnostics in Cleveland, which are considered experimental medicine, here in NY, to be covered by a few small paragraphs that force insurance to cover extreme rarity’s when in-network solutions no longer suffice or can’t provide the proper care. Why do I have to go to court, why do I have to do the leg work of gathering documents, and make statements when I’m the one who is disabled for 12-36 hours at a time? How can I fight for myself when I can’t sit up, get out of bed, or walk down a hall. I can barley stare at a screen from the nausea all while my the things that keep me functional slowly deteriorate my long term health. Which affects insurance’s bottom line. In this world there is help. You just have to ask. It’s the price of a “free” society.
My story is known by many, but now it will spread even more and bring to light how the suffering and loss in quality of life are not just real. This is the next step in bringing that story to the front of the spot light. To be seen, and analyzed in real time, to right the wrongs, so nobody ever has to go through what I continue to repeat.
